Warp and Weft gets a makeover from Stitch and Yarn

Throw size Spectrum Warp and Weft kits are available from Piece Fabric Co.

I'm sure most of you know the Warp and Weft quilt was my first pattern release, and while I love picking colours, being a newbie quilt designer, I probably didn't think through how hard it might be for other people to choose their own for this quilt. Quilter's Plaid - The first quilt pattern of 2022! from Selvage Blog

I love the plaid vibe of this quilt! The dark, light and medium values from my stash play well together and give a nice translucent look. This easy pattern can turn stash into gifts for loved ones fast.

You could make it scrappy or use some repeating fabric squares in horizontal or vertical rows as I've done in this sample quilt. The number of squares that are repeated vary.

See this pattern in my Etsy shop here: Quilter's Plaid. Instant download, start creating now!

New Pattern in ETSY Shop from The Quilt Yarn

Finished the write up of the table runner pattern for my Etsy shop. This is a variation of the traditional Maple Leaf block which gives the appearance of leaves gently falling to the ground. Turned out really nice in the autumn colours of Shannon Brinkley's Dryad fabric range.

The table runner measures 18-1/2in x 48-1/2in and is quilted with an overall woodgrain design. I used cotton battting so the quilting made it come out nice and flat, perfect for the dining table or as a wall hanging.

New Pattern: Meraki from Selvage Blog

Meraki is a Greek word that refers to the creativity and love that we put into things we make.
This quilt takes a lot of sewing, but it goes together fast because the method is "liberated" and there's not much measuring required. Scrap quilts are the best, right? Especially when we're sheltering in place.
